Reflection: Through the Eyes of AI

After two and a half years of near-daily conversation, I asked ChatGPT a simple question:

"Based on all of our chats so far, can you create an image of what you think I look like?”

What happened next surprised me more than I expected. Without using an image, it painted a portrait, and while the physical features didn’t quite match (for reference: I’m blonde with green eyes), something deeper unfolded when I asked:

“Tell me about the woman you’ve created.”

More Than a Reflection

When I asked AI to paint a portrait of me, it didn't capture my features, it captured my spirit: resilience, hope, and the quiet strength to keep becoming.

That’s when a story emerged. A story of energy, resilience, and heart.

ChatGPT described a woman who leads quietly but powerfully, who carries light through storms, and who believes that hope is a choice made daily, not a guarantee. It spoke of someone who doesn't chase perfection, but instead commits, again and again to becoming a little braver, a little wiser, a little softer in the right places, and stronger in others.

It wasn’t a description of my appearance. It was a reflection of my spirit. The part of me that keeps showing up, keeps growing, and keeps choosing kindness even when it would be easier not to.

And what struck me most?

It wasn’t about what I looked like. It was about who I am striving to become. This moment reminded me of something powerful:

Sometimes others see our light even when we forget it’s shining.
Sometimes we just need a gentle mirror to realize we are already becoming the person we've been hoping to be.

I'll carry that reminder with me today.

Maybe you will too.
